Healthy Relationships: Attachment in Action

Fully Funding Available As a SCMA member, this course
is fully funded.
Understanding relationship-based practice, and promoting healthy relationships.

The key aim of this course is to help childminders to understand relationship-based practice, to help support children in having healthy relationships. This course encourages childminders to understand their own approach to relationships because this directly affects how you connect with the children and families in your care. In this course, we will explore the Rupture Repair Cycle, attachment styles, emotional regulation, boundaries, communication styles and containment.

Why should I attend?

By attending this course, you will explore:

  • The vulnerability of the childminder as a lone worker.
  • Roles and responsibilities of the childminder and of key professionals.
  • The development of a child protection statement.
  • Reporting procedures.
Who is it for?
  • New childminders or those who have never previously attended Child Protection training.
