SCMA is the national voice of the childminding sector in Scotland. We work with our members to help improve the wellbeing and outcomes for Scotland's children. We also play a big part in influencing change at government level to ensure new legislation is proportional and fits our member's needs.

We are recruiting for the following posts to help us deliver childminding services across Scotland:

Both of these posts require proven ability to prioritise work, organise information and forward plan. Enthusiasm, self-motivation, good communication and excellent organisational skills are required. Most SCMA staff are currently remotely working from home due to COVID-19, however these roles may develop into a blended working model involving a mix of office-based and home working.

Full-time 36 hrs per week, Salary £22,533-£24,724

The successful applicant will work as part of the Learn with SCMA Team to co-ordinate and plan the effective delivery of our continuous professional learning opportunities through the development of our Annual Training Calendar. You will provide support and assistance to childminders, trainers and staff with the delivery of our learning events. You will also support compliance with the requirements of our SQA and ITA Learning Centre status.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT – Maternity Leave position (1-year fixed term)
Full-time 36 hrs per week, Salary £20,250-£21,917

As Administrative Assistant you will co-ordinate an effective and efficient administrative support service for members, potential childminders and others interested in childminding. You will provide administrative support to the Corporate Services Team including being involved in supporting our membership, HR and finance functions.
